Ms. Villar has a Bachelor of Education Art Music degree from the National Institute of Fine Arts. She has over 30 years of experience as a piano teacher at Superior Music School in Mexico, with a strong dedication to the total development of children and adults. She has worked for Yamaha in Mexico from 1968 to 2013, and has received training through seminars at Yamaha in Japan, throughout the years. She teaches all courses of the Yamaha Music Education System (YMES), as well as JOC (Junior Original Course). She also has prepared Teachers and Students for Yamaha Grade 5. Her areas of specialty includes Piano and Composition. She owned a Music School in Texas from 2014 until June 2017. In July 2017 she moved to California to open a Yamaha Music School.
Claudia received her Bachelor's degree in Piano Performance in 2000. She also has a Bachelor's degree in Communication, and has worked in the film industry. She started studying Piano at age 3, and is a product of the Yamaha Music Education System. Has performed at Recitals throughout Mexico, as a solo performer, as well as with her students. She has 20 years of experience teaching Yamaha Music Education System (YMES). Two of her students were selected to perform in the Junior Original Concert in Tokyo, Japan.
Sarah graduated with a Masters in Voice (Sungshin Women's University) and a Music Educator's Certificate (Ewha Women's University) in her native home country of South Korea. She earned an Orff Music Education Certificate from Villanova University in Philadelphia, PA. With 17+ years teaching experience under her belt, she has taught Piano, Voice and Violin, and has managed her own studio for 7 years. She believes that learning music is remembered as a good experience, and brings happiness, beauty, and enrichment, and agrees with legendary artist Yo-Yo Ma, that learning music helps children grow up culturally, and intellectually.
Diana has a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in piano performance from California State University, Long Beach. She has over 20 years of experience in teaching piano and keyboard for children, youths and adults. Diana believes that music learning is to be enjoyed and to be shared to everyone. It is "food for the soul".
A former recording artist with over 38 years of singing, performing, and teaching experience combined, Karen started her singing career at the age of 11, and has performed in musical productions in Japan and Hong Kong. Her big break came when she made it onto “America’s Got Talent” season two, and made it to the semi-finals, which led to her career as a recording artist. She attended Fullerton College for Music, Performing Arts, and Child Psychology.
Ms. Lily has over 30 years of teaching experience. She teaches theory, Concerto level, and arranging pop music. She has had many students who have received awards from international and local competitions, and has also been working as a CM evaluator and adjudicator, as well as preparing students in CM, and competitions.
Nicole is a passionate music educator who brings extensive experience teaching a diverse array of instruments: winds, percussion, strings, and vocal. She has worked with all age levels both privately and in the classroom knowing the unique learning needs of all skill levels. With strong communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate effectively with parents, she is dedicated to fostering a supportive learning environment for all her students. Known for combining lessons with creativity and fun, she is committed to inspiring students through music education.
Outside of teaching, she gigs on French horn with various orchestras around the Orange County, Riverside, and San Bernardino.
Shige is an experienced musician, and regularly performs in the local clubs circuit in LA and Orange County. He received his diploma from Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA. He has over 15 years of teaching experience under his belt, and teaches students of all levels, from beginner to advanced
Chuck is an accomplished drummer with a vast professional resume. He has taught drum set for over twenty years and is an honor graduate of Musician’s Institute (Percussion) where he studied under Frank Zappa alumnus, Ralph Humphey and Joe Pocaro. He currently runs a busy studio where he records drum tracks for clients and produces for bands and songwriters. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a Single Subject Credential in teaching. His versatility as a drummer allows him to teach any style from punk, funk, latin to Bonham. Chuck also covers reading, technique, styles, studio drumming theory through his modular yet fun approach to teaching.
Ivan has been playing drums for over 15 years and has been teaching for more than 10 years. He has had experience performing on a professional level, and has had the privilege of playing with seasoned musicians. He received his Bachelor of Music degree from California State University, Fullerton.
Max is a multi-instrumentalist, and started with the violin at age 15. In 2004, he received his AA in Music, and Certificate of Completion for private teaching from Long Beach City College, where he concentrated in String instruments and music pedagogy. In 2009, he received his Bachelor's degree in Music Education from Cal State Long Beach, where he studied Woodwind, Brass, Percussion, as well as Strings and Piano. He also learned Orchestral and Choral conducting. It has always been his passion to be able to play and teach all the instruments of the Band and Orchestra. He has 15 years experience teaching strings and about 10 years teaching wind and brass instruments. He also directs his church orchestra which performs for special events.
